Public Advisory: Labrador Ferry Service Update

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that the MV Northern Ranger is adding service to Makkovik and Postville to its schedule, as ice conditions are improving along Labrador’s north coast.

The vessel departed Happy Valley-Goose Bay today (Monday, June 6) at approximately 1:00 p.m. and is expected to arrive in Rigolet at 7:30 p.m. It is scheduled to arrive in Makkovik at 7:30 a.m. and Postville at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, June 7).

MV Dutch Runner is scheduled to begin service between Lewisporte, Black Tickle, Rigolet, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Makkovik and Postville on Thursday, June 9, pending ice conditions. Freight is now being accepted for these communities at the marine terminals in Lewisporte and Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Service will commence to remaining north coast communities as ice conditions permit.

Information on schedules and bookings can be obtained by phoning CAI Nunatsiavut Marine Inc. at 1-877-896-7075 within Canada or 1-506-858-9963 internationally, or by visiting www.labradorferry.ca
