Work of Visual Artists Supported Through $70,000 Provincial Grant
Visual Artists of Newfoundland and Labrador have received $70,000 in operational support through the Provincial Government’s Cultural Economic Development Program.
“Newfoundland and Labrador is home to many gifted artists who have made their mark locally, nationally, and throughout the world,” said the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. “Support to the arts through the dedicated efforts of Visual Artists of Newfoundland and Labrador is an investment in our people and future.”
"Visual Artists Newfoundland and Labrador is grateful for the support of Cultural Economic Development funding, which is our only source for sustaining our not-for-profit arts advocacy organization,” said Sara Tilley, Executive Director, Visual Artists Newfoundland and Labrador. “Without this program, our organization would not be able to continue its important work on behalf of the visual artists of this province.”
