Media Advisory: Ministers to Announce Major
Fire Protection Infrastructure Investment

Three events are scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, April 8) to provide details of a major investment in fire protection infrastructure.

The Honourable Kevin O’Brien, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister Responsible for Fire and Emergency Services, will make the first announcement in Gander at 9:00 a.m. at the Gander Volunteer Fire Department, Elizabeth Drive.

On behalf of Minister O’Brien, the Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board and MHA for Humber East, will outline details of the investment at an event in Corner Brook. The announcement will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Corner Brook Fire Hall located off the Lewin Parkway.

Minister O’Brien will make an announcement at the Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Hall at 11:30 a.m. and will be joined by the Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister for Innovation, Trade and Rural Development and MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor-Buchans.
