Media Advisory: Ministers to Attend Fire Truck Dedication in St. Joseph’s

The Honourable Kevin O’Brien, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister Responsible for Fire and Emergency Services, and the Honourable Felix Collins, Minister of Justice and MHA for Placentia - St. Mary’s, will officially present the town of St. Joseph’s with a new fire truck tomorrow (Tuesday, February 1). During the event, the St. Joseph’s Fire Department will dedicate the tanker to the late Peter Daley, a former member of the fire department.

The new firefighting apparatus was acquired through the 90/10 cost-shared arrangement between the province and the community.

The event will get underway at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph’s Fire Hall, Main Road, St. Joseph’s. A reception will follow at the town hall.
