Media Advisory: Premier to Host Athletic Awards Reception
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will host the 8th Annual Premier’s Athletic Awards today (Wednesday, May 25) at the Holiday Inn, St. John’s, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
The Premier’s Athletic Awards Program provides grants to young athletes to assist with the costs associated with training and competition at the elite level.
