Environmental Assessment Bulletin
The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
ADDENDUM TO PROJECT:
Proponent: Alderon Iron Ore Corp. (Reg. 1611)Project: Kami Iron Ore Project
The proponent has submitted a change to the project outlining an alternate alignment of the proposed power transmission line right-of-way. The new alignment will follow the proposed railroad right-of-way north up to the existing Wabush Mines tailings pipeline and then run west to tie into the substation. Comments received regarding this new alignment should be submitted within the current screening review period deadline of November 21, 2011, as outlined in the October 17, 2011 environmental assessment bulletin.
