Media Advisory: Minister to Appear before Canada
Industrial Relations Board Regarding Port of Montreal
The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Transportation and Works,
will appear before a hearing of the Canada Industrial Relations Board to
argue that the shipment of goods to the Island of Newfoundland through
the Port of Montreal should be designated an essential service under the
Canada Labour Code.
The hearing is scheduled for today (Friday, August 27) at 9:30 a.m.
EST, at the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, 9th Floor,
Tour McGill College, 1501 McGill College Avenue, Montreal, Quebec.
