Corner Brook Ski Club Provided $15,000 to Upgrade Trail Grooming Capabilities

The Blow Me Down Cross County Ski Club in Corner Brook will improve its trail groomer capabilities thanks in part to $15,000 provided through the Provincial Government's 2010 Capital Grant Program.

"This funding will be used to assist with the purchase of several ski trail groomer attachments," said the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. "Cross country skiing is an excellent way to enjoy the outdoors and participate in physical activity during the winter months, and we are pleased to provide this funding to assist the Blow Me Down Cross Country Ski Club in their efforts to provide its clients with the best possible skiing experience."

"As the proud MHA for Humber West, I am delighted that the Blow Me Down Cross Country Ski Club will be provided with $15,000 to upgrade their trail grooming capabilities," said the Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador. "The Blow Me Down Cross Country Ski Club is an important part of the community and is enjoyed by countless residents and visitors to the region. It is investments such as this one which reinforce our governments commitment to physical activity and sport throughout Newfoundland and Labrador."
