Names Annual Awards Winners
Gymnastics Newfoundland & Labrador (GNL) held its 2010
Annual General Meeting and Awards presentation at the Holiday Inn this
past weekend. Marley Corbett (Campia) took top honors in the Female
Athlete Category with Liam Jackman (Campia) securing the top honor in
the Male category. Rod Oldford of Campia Gymnastics was honored as the
Volunteer of the Year for his tremendous contribution to his club during
their renovations. Denise Ridgely- MacDonald (Campia) was named
Recreation Coach of the Year, Kyle Murphy (Campia) took Competitive
Coach for Male Athletes while Stephany Pritchett White (Campia) captured
the Competitive Coach for the Female Athletes. Jackie Oates of the
Airials Club in Gander was the recipient of the Leadership Award. Mr.
Wayne Andrews, GNL Past president, was inducted into the Gymnastics
Newfoundland & Labrador Honor Roll.
The elected Board of Directors for 2010-2011: Robert
Godden, President; Owen Devereaux, Vice President; Paul Whitten,
Treasurer. Directors at Large: Denise May, Kenny Budgell, Michele Soucy
and Seamus O'Keefe.
