Open Tryout for Jr. Seahawks Boy's Basketball Program

The Newfoundland and Labrador Association - Jr. Seahawks boy's basketball program will be holding an open tryout on Thursday, September 23 from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. for boys in Grades 9 to Level 1. An additional open tryout will be held on Sunday, September 26 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for boys in Grades 7 to 8. The final session, by invitation only, will be held on Thursday, September 30.

All tryout sessions will take place at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre on Crosbie Road in St. John's.

For the third consecutive season, MUN Sea~Hawks head coach, Coach Peter Benoite, will be overseeing the NLBA - Jr. Seahawks program in conjunction with present and former Sea~Hawks members.

Sessions will be held for 15 weeks commencing on October 3 and running through until mid January. Those individuals selected will train Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

If selected, the cost of the program will be $200.00 and will include a ball and reversible jersey. There will be a $10.00 tryout fee (payable on site) for all participants attending the September 23 and 26 tryout camps. Cheques can be made payable to the NLBA.
