The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism,
Culture and Recreation will be in the Town of Botwood tomorrow
(Thursday, March 25) to address the Botwood Mural Arts Banquet. The
minister will be joined by Clayton Forsey, MHA for Exploits. The event
will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, 7 Circular Road, beginning
at 7:00 p.m.
The banquet is part of a four-day workshop and will
include a presentation on a proposed project which would highlight the
community's history and culture through a series of murals painted
throughout the town. It is one of several events organized in
recognition of the community's 150th anniversary and the
upcoming 2010 Come Home Year celebrations.
