The Department of Natural Resources advises that George's Pond Forest Access Road, located off the Cabot Highway, is once again open after being closed due to damage sustained during Hurricane Igor.

The department continues to assess the damage related to the storm and the public is advised to use extreme caution on any forest access road.

To ensure public safety, the department will keep the public informed about the status of forest access roads.
