Bulletproof
Air Shelters Receives Provincial Government Investment
Grand Bank-based Dynamic Air Shelters is
receiving $725,000 from the Provincial Government to expand its
infrastructure, and to meet the product requirements of the Canadian
military and other industrial clients.
The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of
Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, made the announcement at the
Dynamic Air Shelters factory in Grand Bank. Accompanying Minister
Skinner at the announcement was the Honourable Darin King, MHA, Grand
Bank; Harold Warner, President, Dynamic Air Shelters Ltd.; and Darrell
Lafosse, Mayor, Town of Grand Bank.
A major employer on the Burin Peninsula,
Dynamic Air Shelters is thinking global as it expands and further
improves its production process, said Minister Skinner.
As the global economy strengthens, the research and development
carried-out by Dynamic Air Shelters will fuel future growth and
significantly enhance its marketability to industrial users.
Dynamic Air Shelters manufactures
promotional, industrial, first-response, and blast resistant shelters.
Its products have been used by the Baltimore Ravens of the National
Football League, along with oil and gas companies. In response to the
Canadian militarys request for almost bulletproof inflatable shelters

necessary changes to its production process.

benchmarks of an exceptional relationship between Dynamic Air Shelters
and the Provincial Government. We are deeply grateful for the support of

completion of a 12,000 square foot facility and the acquisition of new
equipment. The increased levels of research and development enable the
company to manufacture shelters that meet military specifications.
Dynamic Air Shelters continued success
bodes well for the Town of Grand Bank and the surrounding region, said
Minister King. There will be increased employment opportunities with
the company looking to add 20 positions, and spin-off benefits for other

development programs were designed with the goal of supporting local
enterprises such as Dynamic Air Shelters complete activities that are
