Media Advisory: Ministers to Address Labrador Fishermen's Union
Shrimp Company Biennial Convention

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and the Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Labrador Affairs, will address delegates during the biennial convention of the Labrador Fishermen's Union Shrimp Company taking place at the Northern Light Inn in L'Anse au Clair this week.

Minister Jackman will address delegates today (Tuesday, November 16) at 1:15 p.m. Minister Hickey is scheduled to speak tomorrow (Wednesday, November 17) at 9:00 a.m.

The Labrador Fishermen's Union Shrimp Company Limited is owned by harvesters on the south coast of Labrador. Approximately 650 people are employed by the company's plants along the Labrador coast and an additional 100 work on four offshore vessels.
