Pre-Budget
Consultations to Commence
Annual consultations to gather
input from stakeholder groups and the public on Budget 2011 will
begin next week, the Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of
Finance and President of Treasury Board, announced today.
�The Provincial Government values
greatly the opportunity to hear directly from the people of the
province as the process of preparing our next annual budget gets
underway,� said Minister Marshall. �Our commitment to
Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to manage the province�s
finances responsibly and sustainably continues. I look forward
to visiting with residents in various regions to get their
perspectives on the future priorities for the province as we set
our sights towards Budget 2011.�
The first meetings are scheduled
for December 10, in Corner Brook and Stephenville, as follows.

Consultations will continue early
in the new year in communities throughout the province. A
schedule for these will be announced in the near future.

participate in a pre-budget meeting are requested to register at
least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting time by
phoning 709-729-2944 or by e-mailing
budget@gov.nl.ca.
