Premier Williams
Co-Hosts SEUS//CP Conference in Mississippi
The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of
Newfoundland and Labrador, will join Governor Haley Barbour of
Mississippi, as co-host of the Southeastern United States-Canadian
Provinces (SEUS//CP) third annual conference in Biloxi, Mississippi. The
three-day conference begins Sunday, April 11 and will conclude on
Tuesday, April 13.
Delegations, led by State Governors and
Provincial Premiers, or designates, are comprised of business and
industry leaders from a wide array of business sectors. The conference
is expected to attract approximately 300 Canadian and U.S. business and
government leaders, presenting a unique opportunity to build important
partnerships with key international leaders.
Established in Montreal in 2007, the SEUS//CP
Alliance is a strategic trade and investment-focused affiliation between
six southeastern American states (Georgia, South Carolina, North
Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama) and seven Canadian
provinces (Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island,
New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba). This year's event will
explore business investment and trade opportunities between companies
and organizations in the sectors of energy, geospatial technologies and
advanced manufacturing.
The conference will take place at the
Beau Rivage Hotel, 875 Beach Boulevard, Biloxi, Mississippi.
