Public Advisory: Christmas Lights
across Canada Ceremony
The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of
Transportation and Works, will host the annual Christmas
Lights Across Canada ceremony this evening (Thursday,
December 10) at 6:15 p.m., in the main lobby of
Confederation Building, East Block. Once again this
year, Newfoundland and Labrador is joining with
provinces and territories across Canada who held similar
events this month illuminating hundreds of thousands of
lights.
Minister Hedderson will be joined by the Honourable
Kathy Dunderdale, Deputy Premier and Minister of Natural
Resources, Master of Ceremonies Toni Marie Wiseman, of
the NTV Evening News Hour, the Zara Vocal Group and the
Royal Newfoundland Regiment Band.
The tree lighting portion of the event will take
place on the steps of Confederation Building. All are
welcome to attend.
