Public Advisory: Traffic Reduced on Trans Labrador Highway Bridge

Motorists are advised that effective tomorrow (Tuesday, November 3) traffic on the St. Lewis Inlet Bridge on the Trans Labrador Highway (TLH) will be intermittently restricted until the end of the week.

The bridge is in need of repair which will require heavy equipment to be positioned on the bridge for the next several days during daylight hours. This repair work will limit the passage of large trucks in the area, and could cause long delays. Passenger vehicle and light truck traffic should not be impacted. Motorists are asked to use caution and to reduce their speed in the area.

The Department of Transportation and Works also wishes to advise motorists that the bridge over the Alexis River on the TLH, which was reduced to one lane, with no truck traffic on October 21, has been reopened to normal traffic flow.
