Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Trail Opening and Hindu Celebration

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will be at the community centre in Flatrock tomorrow (Saturday, October 17) to participate in the official opening of the newly-developed 15-kilometre section of the East Coast Trail between Flatrock and Pouch Cove, known as the Stiles Cove Path. The event is being hosted by the East Coast Trail Association and is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.

On Saturday evening, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Minister Jackman will join the local Hindu community in a spiritual and cultural celebration of Diwali, or Festival of Lights. The event takes place at the Hindu Temple on Penny Lane in St. John�s.
