Media Advisory: Capital Region Welcomes Torch Relay

The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will welcome the Olympic Flame to the capital city region today (Friday, November 13) during a media photo opportunity outside the Confederation Building in St. John�s, beginning at 1:10 p.m. Premier Williams will be greeting the Olympic Torch Relay caravan and a number of torchbearers.

Later in the day, the Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, on behalf of Premier Williams, will address the regional Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration event to be held in Bowring Park.
