Media Advisory: Media Opportunities Available at SEUS//CP Alliance Conference

The Southeastern United States-Canadian Provinces (SEUS//CP) Alliance will hold its second annual conference in St. John�s, July 26-28, at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland located at 115 Cavendish Square. The conference will be co-hosted by the Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Governor Sonny Perdue of Georgia.

Media representatives are invited to the following:

  • The conference opening on Sunday, July 26, at 4:30 p.m. in Salon A,
  • A news conference that includes the delegation heads from the 13 jurisdictions represented at the conference on Monday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. in Salon A, and
  • A luncheon with the keynote address by Sean Durfy, President and Chief Executive Officer of WestJet Airlines, on the topic Leadership in Today�s Economy in Salon A at 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 27.

Established in 2007, the SEUS//CP Alliance is a strategic trade and investment-focused partnership between six southeastern American states (Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama) and seven Canadian provinces (Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba). It explores business investment and trade opportunities between companies and organizations in the sectors of energy, marine and ocean technology, advanced manufacturing, and economic development.
