Minister to Announce School
Program for Newfoundland and Labrador Day at the Olympics
The Honourable Darin King, Minister of
Education, will announce plans to celebrate the 2010 Olympic and
Paralympic Winter Games in schools across the province at a news event
tomorrow (Friday, May 1) at Holy Cross Elementary in St. John�s. The
news event begins at 9:30 a.m.
Minister King will be joined by Canadian
Olympian Mark Nichols (Team Gushue), who won a gold medal for curling at
the 2006 Torino Winter Games in Italy, as well as the official Olympic
mascots.
