Midget Boys and Girls Basketball Teams to Compete in
Kamloops
The Provincial Midget Boys and Girls Programs will be
leaving for Kamloops, B.C., this weekend to participate in the 2008
National U15 Championships slated for August 4-9.
The boy�s team will compete against N.B., B.C., Quebec and the
Territories while the girls program will face Saskatchewan, N.S.,
Alberta and Quebec. Playoffs and placing games will take place on August
8 and 9.
Members of the boy�s team include: Keith Norman, Jamie Kennedy, Jonathon
Hickey, Brad Jordan, Mark Cashin, Sam Forsey and Shane Stack of St.
John�s, Brad Rose, Nick Chr�tien and Adam Keating of Mount Pearl, Gary
Neville of St. Mary�s and Kyle Manning of St. Bride�s. The alternates
include Alex Murphy, Brandon Fudge, Sean Cowan and Mike Duff of St.
John�s. Coaches for the program are Erica Coultas Kennedy (Head Coach),
Ian Coultas (Assistant Coach) and Keith Keating (Manager).
The roster for the girls team include: Mollie Jameson, Hannah Jardine
and Teresa Earles of St. John�s, Leah Frampton, Taylor Hayes, Jessica
Powell and Shainia Adam- Suggashie of the Goulds, Heidi Luby of Bay
Bulls, Megan Vickers of Witless Bay, Kellie Linehan and Kelsey Gregory
of Mt. Carmel, and Jennie Burke of Holyrood. Coaches for the girls
include Tom Kendell (Head Coach), Michelle Bartlett (Assistant Coach)
and Diane Kendell (Manager).
