Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Emergency Preparedness Week
Community Barbeque

The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister Responsible for Fire and Emergency Services-Newfoundland and Labrador, will join local emergency responders and officials from Fire and Emergency Services-Newfoundland and Labrador (FES-NL) at a community barbeque in the City of Mount Pearl to celebrate the 2008 Emergency Preparedness Week at 12:00 noon tomorrow (Saturday, May 10).

A series of community barbeques have been organized by local first responders and FES-NL to celebrate Emergency Preparedness Week (May 4-10). They will take place tomorrow (May 10), from 10:00 a.m. � 4:00 p.m. throughout the province at the following locations:

  • City of Mount Pearl, Canadian Tire on Merchant Drive
  • Town of Grand Falls � Windsor, Canadian Tire on Cormer Avenue
  • City of Corner Brook, Canadian Tire adjacent the Lewin Parkway
  • Town of Labrador City, WalMart at the Labrador Mall
