Media Advisory: Ministers to Raise NAOSH Week Flag

The Honourable Kevin O�Brien, Minister of Government Services, and the Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, will kick off North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week by helping raise the NAOSH Week flag in front of Confederation Building at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5. Ministers O�Brien and Skinner will be joined by the Avalon Chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers along with workers representing a variety of different sectors.

NAOSH Week is celebrated every year at the beginning of May throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico. Its goal is to raise awareness for the importance of preventing workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
