Council of the Federation to Meet in Qu�bec
City Media accreditation required As incoming Chair of the Council of the Federation, Qu�bec Premier Jean Charest will host the 2008 Summer Meeting of the Council of the Federation on July 16-18 at the Fairmont Le Ch�teau Frontenac in Qu�bec City. The meeting will be held during the 400th anniversary celebrations of the founding of Qu�bec City. Media Accreditation Media representatives who wish to attend the Council of the Federation Summer Meeting must register online and complete an application for accreditation, which is available at www.councilofthefederation.ca. Click on the link to Media Registration. Applicants will be screened to ensure they are official media representatives. Media must register by June 16, 2008. Media Accommodations Media representatives are responsible for making their own reservations. Rooms have been reserved at both hotels below: Ch�teau Laurier Ch�teau Bellevue
Media representatives must make their reservations no later than June 16, 2008 in order to qualify for a special group rate of $199 at the Ch�teau Laurier and $179 at the Ch�teau Bellevue. After this date, room availability will not be guaranteed. Media Work Room A media work room will be located at the Salle de bal Room of the Fairmont Le Ch�teau Frontenac. This room will be equipped with Internet access, power outlets and television monitors. A news conference area and a uni-mic area will be located nearby. Preliminary Media Program (All times and events to be confirmed) Wednesday, July 16 Thursday, July 17 Friday, July 18 8:00 a.m. Premiers� working breakfast 9:15 a.m. Premiers� working session 1:30 p.m. Closing news conference A meeting of Premiers and National Aboriginal Organization leaders will commence on the morning of Wednesday, July 16 in Qu�bec City at the Ch�teau Laurier Hotel. Details about this meeting will be issued by the Government of Qu�bec.
