Premier Comments on Use
of Cell Phone While Driving
The
Honourable Danny Williams, today said that he acknowledges that he did
use a cell phone while driving yesterday to take an urgent call from the
office. He said that he will pay the associated fine if the Royal
Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) deems it appropriate to issue a ticket.
Despite the fact that it was an urgent call, I acknowledge that it was
inappropriate to talk on my cell phone while driving, and I certainly
accept the associated consequences, said Premier Williams.
