Executive Council January 17, 2008 Premier Commends Retiring Senior Employee The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today paid tribute to the exemplary service of Robert (Bob) Noseworthy who will be retiring from the provincial public service at the end of February. "Mr. Noseworthy was all set to retire in November of 2006 from his position as Chair and CEO of the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, but at government�s request he graciously remained in that position until a replacement could be found," said Premier Williams. "I sincerely thank him for that and for his more than 33 years of dedication and commitment in the provincial public service, and wish him well in his retirement." Mr. Noseworthy was appointed to the board in 2001. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Minister of the Department of Municipal and Provincial Affairs. He also served and Chair and CEO of the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, where he had earlier held other key positions, including Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs. He also worked as senior policy analyst with the Executive Council. A graduate of Memorial University, Mr. Noseworthy holds an engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and a masters of business administration from the University of Western Ontario.
