Special Ballot Voting for Upcoming By-Elections

With the by-election approaching in the electoral district of Cape St. Francis, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador should be advised that Special Ballot voting has begun at both the district Returning Office and at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (Elections NL Headquarters).

Please be advised that Special Ballot voting will commence in the electoral district of Baie Verte - Springdale on August 1, 2008.

Applications for Special Ballot voting are available from:

• The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, 39 Hallett Crescent, St. John�s;
• The Returning Office for Cape St. Francis, 386 Stavanger Drive, St. John�s;
• The Returning Office for Baie Verte-Springdale, Cape St. John Arena, Recreation Road, La Scie;
• The Elections NL website: www.elections.gov.nl.ca.

People who are qualified to vote in these districts and who have reason to believe that they may have difficulty voting at an advance poll or on polling day may apply for Special Ballot voting.
