Reservation System in Place Soon for Labrador Ferries

Effective Tuesday, January 23, customers who want to plan ahead, can start making reservations on Labrador ferries.

The Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Transportation and Works and minister responsible for Labrador Affairs, announced today the reservation system for the 2007 Labrador Marine Coastal Service will be in place on Tuesday (January 23) just days after the early release of an enhanced schedule.

The early release of the schedule and early booking is a significant benefit to all who rely on these ferries, said Minister Hickey. Its particularly convenient for tourists who can start their Labrador summer vacation plans right now. The positive feedback we have received on this improved service has been overwhelming since the benefits to the province and the tourism industry are so obvious.

The minor gap between release of the schedule and the commencement of reservations is necessary to allow Labrador Marine time to set up their booking system.

Reservations can be made toll free at: 1-866-535-2567
