Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Another Taste of Labrador Fundraiser

Tourism Culture and Recreation Minister, the Honourable Tom Hedderson, will be attending Another Taste of Labrador, Saturday, March 24 at the Johnson GeoCentre, Signal Hill Road, St. Johns, at 7 p.m.

A fundraiser for the Battle Harbour Historic Trust, the event will feature Labrador cuisine, entertainment, a silent auction and a lottery draw.

A mercantile saltfish premises established in the 1770s, Battle Harbour developed into a thriving community, which for two centuries was the economic and social centre of the southeastern Labrador coast. Through the ongoing efforts of the Battle Harbour Historic Trust, the site now commemorates a vital piece of Newfoundland and Labrador history.
