House of Assembly October 18, 2007 Media Advisory: Members of House of Assembly to be Sworn-in November 1 Those elected in the October 9 provincial general election will be sworn-in at a ceremony in the House of Assembly Chamber, Confederation Building, on Thursday, November 1, at 2:00 p.m. by the Lieutenant Governor, His Honour, the Honourable Edward Roberts. Following the swearing-in ceremony, all members will elect an independent Speaker of the House of Assembly. Media representatives planning to cover the swearing-in are asked to contact the Communications Branch of Executive Council at 709-729-3812 or 691-7478 by 4:00 p.m., October 31. The House of Assembly Broadcast Centre will provide an audio feed for media. Media representatives are requested to be in place by 1:30 p.m. The swearing-in ceremony will be carried live on television over the House of Assembly channel. -30- Media contact: 2007 10 18 4:20 p.m.
