The Native Women's Association of Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, with support from the Government of Canada, are pleased to partner in co-hosting the first ever National Aboriginal Women�s Summit (NAWS) scheduled for June 20 to 22 at the Pepsi Centre in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will co-chair the event with Beverley Jacobs, President of the Native Women�s Association of Canada (NWAC).

Media representatives who wish to attend the NAWS must register with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Please call Lea Coultas at (709) 729-4776 to obtain a media registration form. Media are required to register by June 13, 2007.

Media representatives who require accommodations should indicate so when filling out the accreditation form.

A media work room will be located at the Pepsi Studio and equipped with Internet access, phones, power outlets, television monitors and limited space for television editing equipment. A uni-mic will be located nearby.
