Media Advisory: Council of the Federation to Meet in Toronto on May 1, 2007

As Chair of the Council of the Federation (COF), Premier Danny Williams announced that the council will meet on May 1 in Toronto for a one-day working session on energy and climate change. Premiers will share provincial/territorial best practices on climate change and review progress on the development of a COF energy strategy as they work towards their upcoming meeting in Moncton in August.

Information for media covering the meeting

  1. Media are encouraged to register in advance by sending their name, media outlet and phone number to Loretta@councilofthefederation.ca.
  2. Media must register upon arrival at the meeting and obtain an identification badge, which must be worn at all times.
  3. A media work room will be available in the Alberta Room, Main Mezzanine, Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
  4. A uni-mic will be available in the Tudor 7 Room, Main Mezzanine, Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
