Withdrawal of Candidate in Bonavista
South
In accordance with section 76 of the Elections Act,
1991, the withdrawal of Liberal candidate, Clayton Hobbs, has
resulted in the returning officer in that district declaring the
remaining candidate, Progressive Conservative Roger Fitzgerald, as the
elected representative in Bonavista South. Because the Progressive
Conservative candidate has been declared elected, there will be no
polling day for Bonavista South on Tuesday, October 9, 2007.
