NLIS 8 August 1, 2006 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to bring greetings at the 89th Annual Kiwanis Convention Tom Hedderson, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will bring greetings on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador at the opening ceremonies of the 89th Annual Kiwanis Convention of Eastern Canada and Caribbean District on Thursday (August 3). The event takes place at the Delta Hotel at 6:30 p.m. Entitled "Kiwanis Relax: You�re on Newfoundland Time," the convention runs from August 3-5 in St. John's. Approximately 700 Kiwanians and their families from eastern Canada and 14 countries in the Caribbean will be visiting our province this week.
