Convergys opens second
contact centre in St. John�s
Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a
global leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care
services, is expanding its operations in St. John�s by opening a second
location at the Village Mall Centre on Topsail Road. Convergys expects
to create approximately 300 new jobs dedicated to its Employee Care
business.
Convergys Employee Care provides benefits administration, human resource
administration, learning, payroll administration and recruiting and
staffing services to several major global companies that have long-term
human resource services contracts with Convergys. Convergys specialists
in the new Employee Care service centre in St. John�s will answer phone
calls from employees and assist them with human resource needs Monday
through Friday.

Convergys opened its first contact centre in St. John�s in 2000 on
Torbay Road. Earlier this year, Convergys expanded the Torbay Road
location and currently employs over 1,500 individuals who provide
customer service and human resources support to major companies in
various high growth industries such as communications and automotive.

Convergys prides itself on being a good corporate citizen. This year,
Convergys employees raised over $15,000 for an annual telethon
benefiting the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation and over $5,000
for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Employees also support
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Newfoundland, School Lunch
Association, and Community Food Sharing Association.
