NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to launch Seniors� Month

Health and Community Services Minister Tom Osborne will join residents of Saint Luke�s Home, St. John�s, at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (June 6) to officially launch June as Seniors� Month in Newfoundland and Labrador. The minister will speak to seniors on the important contribution they make to society and about the importance of healthy aging. Media representatives are invited to attend.

The launch will be followed by a provincial stakeholder forum on the development of a healthy aging strategy for the province. The forum takes place at the Holiday Inn, St. John�s on Wednesday, June 7. Premier Williams will bring opening greetings at 9:00 a.m., followed by a keynote address by Minister Osborne at 12:00 noon. Media representatives are invited to attend.
