Premier appoints new Government House Leader

Premier Danny Williams today announced the appointment of Loyola Sullivan, Member of the House of Assembly for the district of Ferryland and Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, as the new Government House Leader.

�I am pleased that Minister Sullivan has agreed to take on this challenging role, I have every confidence that he will be a tremendous leader for our party in the House of Assembly,� said Premier Williams. �Minister Sullivan has extensive experience on the floor of the House of Assembly, as a party leader, Opposition house leader and in many other roles, and I look forward to having the benefit of his experience as he takes on this new duty.�

Minister Sullivan�s appointment is effective immediately.
