NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to assess roads on west coast

Tom Rideout, Minister of Transportation and Works, is on the province�s west coast today to assess damage to roads and transportation infrastructure that has resulted from the recent flooding.

Minister Rideout and senior officials will be viewing the damage in the Reidville, Pynn�s Brook, Riverside Drive, Gallants and Stephenville areas.

Meanwhile, Jack Byrne, Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs and minister responsible for the province�s Emergency Measures Organization, and Joan Burke, MHA for the District of Stephenville and Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, are also in the area again today.
