The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador :
 

Midget basketball teams off to national championships  

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association sent two teams to Calgary , Alberta on Sunday, July 31 to compete in the 2005 National Midget (U15) Boys and Girls Championships.  

The girls program will compete against Alberta on Tuesday, British Columbia on Wednesday, and Manitoba on Thursday. The boys will face Alberta on Tuesday, Manitoba on Wednesday and Ontario on Thursday.  Friday will consist of semi-finals and the various placings for the provincials across the country. The championship games are set for Saturday evening. Both programs will return to the province on Sunday, August 7. Members of programs include:
