NOTE TO EDITORS: Opening of Pien Ashtunu: Pien Builds a Canoe, Pien Upunmun: Pien�s Dream and Tipatshimuna: Innu stories from the Land.

Tom Rideout, Minister responsible for Aboriginal Affairs, along with Tom Foran, vice-chair of the board of directors for The Rooms Corporation, Penny Houlden, director of The Rooms� Provincial Museum, and Ben Michel, president of the Innu Nation, will unveil the exhibit Pien Builds a Canoe, premiere the CBC documentary Pien Upunmun: Pien�s Dream and launch the Tipatshimuna: Innu stories from the Land Web site for the Virtual Museum of Canada. The event will take place this evening (July 5) at 7:30, on Level 3 of The Rooms. Media representatives are invited to attend.

An traditional Innu tent will be erected on the grounds of The Rooms beginning at 10:30 a.m. on July 5. Media representatives are invited to visit for a photo opportunity. Prior to the opening, Innu guests of the opening will be invited to assemble at the tent for a cup of tea should weather permit.
