NLIS 10 June 30, 2005 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed on behalf of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: 2005 Canada Games Ladies Basketball Team The Canada Games Ladies Basketball
Team departs today, June 30, for Edmonton, Alberta to take part in
the Great Canadian Shootout. Over 50 teams will participate in the
various age groups ranging from U13 to U19. The games will commence
on Friday and wind up Sunday, July 3 with the championships games.
The ladies team will be competing in the U19 age category in
preparation for the Canada Summer Games taking place in Regina,
Saskatchewan, during the 2nd week of August. |
