NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to attend Happy Valley-Goose Bay Community Awards, April 23

Paul Shelley, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and Minister responsible for Labrador Affairs, will attend the 7th annual Community Awards presentation and banquet in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Saturday, April 23. The event takes place at 7:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion.

The Happy Valley-Goose Bay Community Awards is an annual event that recognizes individuals and groups who contribute their time to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of the town. Awards will be presented in 12 categories: Female Athlete, Male Athlete, Youth, Coach, Group, Fine Arts, Citizen, Volunteer, Exceptional Person, Sponsor, Executive, and Builder.
