The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Club Mini Hoop Championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold two Mini Club Pepsi Championships this coming weekend, January 28-29, in Mount Pearl and Cowan Heights. Newtown, Mount Pearl, will host the U11 boys event, while Cowan Height�s school plays host to the U12 girls championships. Clubs participating in the events include: Gould�s Hoopsters, Mount Pearl Minor, Cowan Height�s Youth League, Junior Vikings and Shea Heights Minor. The championships are held for registered basketball leagues throughout the province. Play will commence on Friday afternoon and will conclude Saturday evening.
