NOTE TO EDITORS:

Tom Rideout, Minister responsible for Aboriginal Affairs, will be the keynote speaker at the next Labrador Young Leaders� Luncheon, which has been organized by the Canadian Unity Council.

The minister will be addressing aspects of northern aboriginal concern. In particular, he will be addressing those aspects of concern to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Also in attendance will be Peter Penashue, Governor of the Canadian Unity Council.

The luncheon will take place on today (Thursday, June 23), 11:45 a.m. at the Aurora Hotel, in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Representatives of the media are invited to attend.
