Department to undertake internal review of monies allegedly received
by outgoing CNA President and Chair of the Board of Directors

Given the fiduciary responsibility of the position of President of the College of the North Atlantic and the Board Chair, Justice Minister Tom Marshall has today announced a full review of significant monies that were allegedly received by the former President and Chair in the summer of 2004.

It has come to the governments attention that, during the summer of 2004, former President and the Chair of the Board of the College of the North Atlantic allegedly received substantial money from a third party in connection with CNAs operations in Qatar, said Minister Marshall. I immediately requested that officials within my department conduct a thorough review of the situation.

The minister did indicate that the Department of Justice has also passed it on to authorities for their review.
