Time off for voting - Exploits by election

Qualified voters from the Electoral District of Exploits who are working on polling day, Thursday, June 23, 2005 are entitled to have four consecutive hours in order to vote while the polls are open (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

If the hours of work do not allow for a total of four consecutive hours in which to vote, the employer is required to provide enough time off to ensure that the four hours are available, without a reduction in pay.

If it is necessary to grant time off, it may be done at the employers convenience.
