Road work announced for Windsor-Springdale

Tom Rideout, Minister of Transportation and Works, and Ray Hunter, MHA for the District of Windsor-Springdale, today announced road work for the district valued at over $1.0 million, under the 2004 Provincial Roads Improvement Program. Approximately $800,000 will be spent on Route 380 which is currently in poor condition.

"This year�s program provides funding for upgrading and improving the provincial highway network, including the work on Route 380. This will make a significant difference for commuters and commercial traffic," said Minister Rideout.

  • Planned projects for the district include:replacing seven culverts on Little Bay Road;
  • continue resurfacing a section of Route 380;
  • replacement of timber bridge in Brighton.

"These projects will go long way in enhancing the safety of roads in the district," said MHA Hunter.
