NLIS 5 June 17, 2004 (Transportation and Works) Road work announced for Ferryland District Tom Rideout, Minister of Transportation and Works, along with Loyola Sullivan, MHA for the District of Ferryland, today announced road projects for the district valued at $680,000 under the Provincial Roads Improvement Program for 2004. "This year�s budget saw an increase of $7 million in the program, bringing the total allocation for this fund to $30 million," said Minister Rideout. "This is part of government�s commitment to road maintenance, safety and reliability. "Tenders will be called shortly for road work on Route 10 between Witless Bay and Bay Bulls, sections on the Tors Cove Road as well as upgrading on Tors Cove School Road." Ferryland MHA Loyola Sullivan said: "These are much needed infrastructure projects for our area and should provide more suitable transportation for both residents and visitors in the Ferryland district."
